WE ARE TRULY SORRY FOR THIS CLOSURE. IT WAS NOT OUR CHOICE.

We have recently been notified that our landlord needs to undertake critical remedial works within our unit as part of a wider improvement project within the development.

Due to the scale of the work involved, and to undertake it safely, we are devastated to say to you all, our cherished community, that we need to temporarily close the centre from 10pm on Wednesday the 20th of March.

We are uncertain at this time on the closure period's exact length but are currently advised that it is likely to be at least 10 weeks.

We know Hang, to many of you, is more than just a climbing wall. It is your home away from home. Your community. Your sanctuary. Your happy place. It is for us too.

It goes without saying how upset and disappointed we are with this forced temporary closure, it was not our choice but, unfortunately, we have no control over both the works themselves or the length of time they will take to complete. Thankfully, during this time we will be able to keep the team together, with no one losing their job.

We will naturally be issuing refunds to all our members who can head straight to this form to submit your details. For those of you on a ten pass, we will extend the expiry by one year from the date that we re-open.

The Silver Lining…

Now for some good news… once again we received great feedback from you all on our recent Hangual Survey and you thought of a wide range of improvements we should make to the centre.

The most widely requested improvements you wanted were substantial, requiring much time and investment to deliver.

  1. An increased quantity of climbing

  2. An increased quantity of overhanging walls

  3. A bigger and better-equipped gym for strength training

  4. A second digital training board option

  5. A larger shower with integrated changing space

After receiving the news of the closure, we are quickly rallying our contractors and are excited to announce that during this forced closure period, alongside the landlord’s works, we will be investing heavily and making all of the above improvements simultaneously.

When we reopen you will continue to find all the things that we think make Hang great. The latest holds and best-in-class routesetting. The same amazing front-of-house team, but a substantially improved facility.

We appreciate that this news will come to many of you with a mixture of sadness and excitement. Still, we hope that this unprecedented level of additional investment in the centre demonstrates our commitment to perfection and our desire to continue developing Hang into one of the best centres in the country.

When will we see you again?

Whilst we may not be seeing you in the centre for a while, we’d love to see you during the hiatus.

We will be arranging some meetups at other centres around London which we think are great, and perhaps even an outdoor venue if we can find a weekend with good weather!

If you’d be interested in joining these, keep an eye out on our Newsletter and social media for more info!

We know climbing helps so many of us with life’s daily troubles, so please keep in touch with each other, and if you want to reach out to us for anything, we’re still here.

Re-Launch Event

When we return, we’re going to host our BIGGEST event ever, with a really exciting format which will use the entirety of our improved centre!

Once we have a date we will of course let you all know!
